VANWEGE CORONA IS DEZE TENTOONSTELLING AFGELAST

Op 9 mei vindt de tweede editie van de kunstexpositie: ME in woord en beeld plaats. Personen met myalgische encefalomyelitis/chronisch vermoeidheidssyndroom (ME/CVS) en hun naasten tonen schilderijen, beeldhouwwerk, gedichten, korte teksten, foto’s etc.

Met kunst als medium hopen we het bewustzijn rond de ziekte te vergroten en inkijk te bieden in de belevingswereld van personen met ME/CVS. Velen zijn zo ziek dat ze niet meer kunnen deelnemen aan het maatschappelijke leven. Daarom willen wij hen een stem en een podium geven. Het doel van de tentoonstelling is het publiek bewust te maken van ME/CVS.

De expositie is op 9 mei 2020 van 10 tot 17 uur in de nieuwe Melac, het ontmoetingscentrum in Zwijnaarde- Gent, België.

The second edition of the art exhibition: ME in words and images will take place on May 9th 2020. People with myalgic encephalomyelitis / chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and their loved ones show paintings, sculpture, poems, short texts, photos, etc.

With art as a medium we hope to increase awareness about this disease and offer insight into the perception of life with ME/CFS. Many are so sick that they can no longer participate in social life. That is why we want to give them a voice and a stage. The purpose of the exhibition is to make the public aware of ME/CFS.

The exhibition is on May 9th 2020 from 10 am to 5 pm in the Nieuwe Melac, meeting center in Zwijnaarde-Ghent, Belgium.
